About Bikram Yoga

Bikram's yoga is an extremely refined yoga. It works the body from the inside out, from the micro to the macro level. it was scientifically developed to work each specific area of the body. About Bikram Choudhury

Bikram Choudhury founded the Yoga College of India in Beverly Hills, California, in 1974. He is one of the pre-eminent hatha yoga masters living today. Bikram started studying yoga at the age of four with his yoga guru (teacher) Bishnu Charan Ghosh in India. At 12, he was the national yoga champion (youngest-ever) of India, holding the title for three consecutive years.

Combining Eastern doctrine with Western doctors and scientists at Tokyo University Hospital, Bikram perfected his comprehensive system of 26 postures, designed to work the entire body for all ages and levels of fitness.

Bikram has been teaching this yoga for over 30 years. He has demonstrated, documented and proven the yoga's ability to scientifically regenerate tissue and heal illness and imbalance, while bringing new increased vigor, radiance and livelyhood to people with good health.
